Inventions and Breakthroughs
Mr. Jones is talking with Hiroki, a member of the science club, about black holes.
Jones: Did you know that we can now take pictures of black holes?
Hiroki: Yes. I read about the scientists who took the pictures. It was a great achievement.
Jones: That’s right. To make their observations, they used eight synchronized telescopes located in several different places around the world.
Hiroki: It was truly an international effort.
Jones: Yeah! What did you think when you first saw the pictures?
Hiroki: Well, I was very impressed. I couldn’t wait to see more pictures.
